Raleigh, as the Capital City, is host to some of the best entertainment in the Southeast. Whether you are a sports fan, interested in the great outdoors or wish to attend the symphony, Raleigh is the place to be.

For sports fans, Raleigh is home to the Carolina Hurricanes, our NHL hockey team; the Carolina Cobras, the local arena football team; the Carolina Mudcats, our AA baseball team; and the "world famous" Durham Bulls baseball team.

If you wish to be "one with nature" the Triangle offers several options, such as: Umstead State Park and Falls Lake Recreation.

For those who are interested in broadening their horizons, Raleigh offers cultural events at area galleries, museums and theatres. The NC Museum of Natural Sciences, the NC Museum of History, and the new IMAX theatre at Exploris are located in downtown Raleigh. You can even watch a film under the stars at the nearby NC Museum of Art.
